The ACC Philippine Cultural Experience at the Aurora History Museum

Highlighting “A Mosaic of Cultures: Aurora’s Filipino Community”  Developed in close partnership with the city’s Office of International and Immigrant Affairs and local community members, the exhibition brings the stories, art, and traditions of Aurora's Filipino American population to the forefront.

Visitors who stepped into the museum were treated to an intimate look into the vibrant fabric of the local Filipino diaspora.  This ACC networking event included guided Community-Led tours, Rich Cultural Artifacts, Honoring Historical Contributions and Accessible Storytelling.   Guests also enjoyed authentic Filipino food and Karaoke.

The timing of the exhibit coincides with broader efforts across the metro area and nation to recognize Filipino culture. With roughly 5,300 Filipino Americans calling Aurora home, the community continues to shape the local culinary scene, local businesses, and cultural organizations.

By opening space for local voices to curate their own history, the Aurora History Museum provided more than just a gallery walk on August 7th—it offered a space for cross-cultural reflection, connection, and pride.
