    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    As Division Director Diversity Equity and Inclusion you will provide visionary leadership and direction in developing, implementing, and managing strategic initiatives to support HCA Healthcare’s commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. You will lead DEI efforts across one or more divisions and coordinates division council operations.

    Your responsibilities will include:

     

     

    • Leads DEI efforts across one or more divisions; provides strategic oversight and is responsible for ongoing operations of division and facility DEI councils
    • Leads annual DEI planning and goal setting for divisions (in conjunction with division and facility leaders), monitors progress and performance
    • Serves as an advisor, bridge builder, strategic leader and partner, enabling leaders across divisions to identify and execute initiatives to effect lasting organizational changes
    • Represents DEI at division events – LDI, orientation, board retreats (or ensures DEI messaging at events)
    • Represents division DEI efforts to partners, suppliers, and community
    • Serves as partner to HR/Ethics and Compliance on matters related to DEI
    • Identifies education needs and contributes to development of programs
    • Identifies opportunities for external recognition of division DEI programs
    • Drives execution of key DEI programs and initiatives (conscious inclusion training, BRAVE conversations, mentor and sponsorship programs) across divisions
    • Responsible for the coordination and oversight of colleague network operations
    • Responsible for coordinating with other division leaders to drive accountability - HR, ECO, Supply Chain, CMO / CNE, Community Engagement, Facility Leaders
    • Lead actions to reduce health disparities and inequities in patient care
    • Collaborates with talent acquisition to enhance diverse talent pipeline
    • Partners with HR and L&OD to integrate DEI initiatives into engagement, retention, and development strategies
    • Manages local supplier diversity efforts and strategic partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Hispanic Serving Institutions, and local chapters of national partner organization
    • The job may require up to 50% travel.

     

     

    What qualifications you will need:

     

    • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
    • 7+ years of experience in diversity and inclusion, human resources or related fields required.
    • 3+ years of experience in healthcare-related industry preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in leading large scale change efforts or strategic programs preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in Strategic Planning and Group Facilitation preferred.
    • 7+ years of experience in Program development and execution preferred.
    • The job may require up to 50% travel.
