    Sales and Group Services Associate I, Part-Time (Non-exempt) – multiple positions available

The Sales & Group Services team focuses on creating a welcoming environment for all Denver Art Museum visitors. We strive to build broad community support via onsite customer service, membership and ticket sales, group visits and field trips, and call center communication. This is an entry level role in the museum’s operational division that includes full training and the opportunity to expand on existing skill sets. Associates can expect to work 10-30 hours per week, with weekend and some evening hours required.     Temporary Position: September, 2025 – February 8, 2026.
    Schedule: Part-time, 10–30 hours per week.
    Location: Denver Art Museum.
    Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00/hour (Based on experience).
    A $0.50/hour language differential is available for candidates who demonstrate Spanish language proficiency.

    What You’ll Do
    There are three main components to the Sales and Group Services Associate position, including:

    Welcoming
    • Utilizing visitor service skills to check in and assist museum visitors and groups in a friendly and approachable manner, assisting and addressing needs, concerns, and complaints to ensure an outstanding visitor experience
    • Acting as a resource for questions relating to collections and museum programming, ticketing and group reservations, membership, and accessibility
    • Selling tickets, memberships, and donations through ATMS ticketing system
    • Participating in membership sales initiatives to meet departmental and institutional goals.
    • Supporting onsite reception for youth and adult group visitors, including orientation, and collection of payment.
    Call Center
    • Providing phone support related to ticketing, membership, and general museum inquiries
    • Monitoring, documenting, and categorizing visitor feedback submitted online, onsite, or over the phone
    • Screening group reservation requests in preparation for booking
    • Making outbound confirmation calls to organizations and schools to confirm group and field trip reservations
    Administrative
    • Participating in donor acknowledgment and fulfillment of membership materials according to the established schedule
    • Processing returned mail
    • Assisting with special projects related to the department
    • Supporting DAM’s Racial Equity Roadmap initiatives through goal setting and applying a racial equity lens in daily work
     
    What We’re Looking For
    You might be a great fit if you have:
    • Previous customer service experience preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with diverse groups of people, including visitors, staff, volunteers, and donors
    • The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Spanish language skills preferred
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • A dynamic, flexible approach when changes arise
    • The ability to work independently and as a team
    • Knowledge of basic computer skills preferred, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
     
    The position is temporary and not covered by a collective bargaining agreement with AFSCME-CWU.
    Please note: Parking at the museum is paid-only.
