    Job Description
    The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (“SASE”) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to support the advancement of Asian scientists and engineers in education and employment so that they can achieve their full career potential.  In addition to their professional development, SASE also encourages members to contribute to the enhancement of the communities in which they live. 
    The primary responsibility of the Manager of SASE Professional Programs (MPP) is to lead the definition and execution of our strategy to serve Asian STEM Professionals, helping unlock their Leadership Potential, increasing their business impact and enabling their growth to higher levels of leadership in their respective organizations.
    The MPP reports to SASE’s CEO/Executive Director (“CEO”), and receives coaching from the SASE Professional Executive Advisors and SASE Conference Director; and serves as backup to the CEO on all professional program activities. 
    The high level goals of the SASE Professional pillar led by the MPP include:
    - year on year growth on companies, executives, and professionals actively engaged in the SASE Professional ecosystem
    - delivery of the Professional experience at the annual SASE National Conference
    - expanded suite of solutions to serve professional development as defined by Strategic Plan (e.g. on-demand training)
    - sustainable and profitable business model to self-fund ongoing expansion of Professional strategy and scope.  
    Responsibilities and deliverables include, but are not limited to:
    Professional Committee
    • Lead the SASE Professional Committee, a small group of industry professional volunteers who co-create the design and co-lead the implement the execution of SASE Professional strategy
    • Guide and co-lead SASE Professional Sub-Committees to progress the work of SASE Professional. 
    • Define the operating structure and meeting rhythm to achieve efficient and optimal performance of the committee/subcommittees.   
    • Interface with other SASE Managers/Directors (e.g., Organization Relationships, Conference Director, Collegiate, Finance/ Operations, IT Leader, etc) to integrate SASE Professional activities with other pillars (Collegiate, Military, etc)
    SASE Professional Leads Network
    • Co-lead the SASE Pro Leads (industry liaison) network, organizing monthly/bimonthly calls; ensuring two-way communication between their organizations and SASE, e.g. ensuring SASE is understanding company needs while at the same time creating company suction/advocacy for the work of SASE Pro.
    • Identify, onboard and expand new members to network as new companies engage with SASE Pro
    Professional Programming @ SASE National Conference
    • Lead the Design and co-lead - with SASE Team, volunteers and contracted trainers – implementation of the Professional program and experience at the annual SASE National Conference.
    Qualifications and skills:
    • 5 years or more experience working as STEM leader in industry to ensure fluency with Asian STEM professional needs and expectations. 
    • Strong organizational skills and operational discipline.
    • Proven ability to develop collaborative working relationships with diverse cultures, individuals, and organizations. 
    • Ability to build enthusiasm and passion for the work.
    • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build business relationships
    • Proven ability to manage multiple complex programs (prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a time-constrained environment) with minimal supervision
    • Strong proficiency with office suite software (document, spreadsheet, presentation, etc) and reporting. SASE uses Google platforms, Microsoft programs, Quick Books, and Adobe Acrobat
    • Bachelor’s degree (ideally a STEM discipline or similar area)
    • Ideally has work experience with nonprofit organization laws and regulations in the US
    Key job requirements
    • Ensure a home work area with reliable high-speed internet. (SASE is a virtual organization and all employees work from home)
    • Will pass a background check
    • Can meet in person every month (or as needed based on job requirements) in Denver or Cincinnati metro area
    • Will be at the annual board retreat, usually 3 days in the Spring
    • Will be at the national conference for 1 week with the rest of the staff, usually held in the 2nd week of October
    Compensation and Support
    • The compensation is $45,000-55,000 annually, negotiable if candidate has extensive, relevant experience
    • All work-related travel expenses will be paid for by SASE
